Re: Panamericana
Dwayne, my congratulations on your Alfa Romeo models. They are all correct 99%, only one question about the grey color of the bumpers. I believe they were not the same color for all the cars. Maybe each had a recognition color usual for the teams with many entries. This is my speculation after my research long ago and not sure 100%. Bravo once more.!!
Re: Panamericana
Ciao Marco grazie, penso di aver usato il modello Oxford per quella Jaguar, e hai ragione su quell'antenna grazie per avermelo detto

Hello Apostolos
Thank you for your very kind comments, I know you did a lot of research also, so your comment means even more.
I looked and looked and looked at all the cars in the black and white photos that had dark bumper bars.
I even downloaded all the photos, cut out the bumper bars with some scissors and taped them all to a piece of paper.
When they were lined up next to one another, they all appeared to have the same shading.
So this was my reason for painting them all dark gray.
If only we could find some color photos, my airbrush could change that in a few seconds

Re: Panamericana
Sarebbe simpatico sapere il motivo per cui i paraurti delle Alfa furono verniciati

Re: Panamericana
Hi Elio, it is all my make. The mould, the model, the decals and the clear parts all by me. I used a Brooklin Mayfair as a base, cut along the midle (since the real car was not as wide as the mayfair), changed rear and front window, changed interior etc. Too much work involved, for the prototype. I am happy you like it.
Re: Panamericana
Lavoro difficile ma riuscito molto bene le modifiche sono invisibili nonostante i tagli.

Re: Panamericana
Dear Baldotl, maybe i did not explain enough. All this work of cutting the model was as to produce my prototype.
After that i can make a few resin copies of the car from a rubber mold. When i was younger i thought that i could built at least 43 of each model and that's the reason i named my series "ONE of 43", but actually i never exceeded 12 of any one model i made and sold.
Now i am trying to build all the models i wanted from a long ago, so you are to see some interesting models very soon.

Re: Panamericana
However, it remains an excellent job, not within the reach of many model makers, modifying a diecast, and reprinting it in resin, not everyone knows how to do it and I might add.

Re: Panamericana
Ciao a tutti,
